In the Championship, Manchester City are the only team with a 100% record after a 10-3 thrashing of Blackburn Rovers. Arsenal slip to 2nd with a 3-1 defeat at Newcastle United.

In League One, Derby County take the lead along with West Ham and Preston with all 3 clubs having a 100% record.

Sunderland and manager Mourinho suffered a 3-1 defeat to West Brom.
